Last weekend, technology enthusiasts, makers and IT experts came together at the 10th Maker Faire in Hanover. ITQ GmbH was there for the first time and, together with the “Technik macht Spaß” foundation, was able to showcase its commitment to STEM education.
The main focus was on the concept of the SMART GREEN ISLAND MAKEATHON on Gran Canaria. The innovation festival pursues the approach of giving young students the opportunity to turn a technical idea into a prototype within just 4 days and to make contact with national and international companies in the process.
The EU co-financed research project “Edudemos” was also present at the exhibition. The aim of the project is to build demonstrators for learning purposes and to create freely accessible construction manuals. The wind/water and solar demonstrators, including assembly instructions, are to be used in vocational training and strengthen practical training internationally.
