Together with the Gerda Stetter Foundation “Technology is fun!” and in cooperation with Murrelektronik GmbH, the ITQ GmbH participated in the 120th anniversary of the Deutsches Museum. At the “Festival of the Future” on July 08 and 09, there were many offers for children and families with workshops and a stage program on the Museum Island in Munich. A total of 15,300 visitors took part in the Festival of the Future.
Our technology coaches inspired the big and small guests with LEGO WeDo and LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robots to program and play themselves. The digital petting zoo with scorpion, dog, cow, snake, crocodile and llama in the playpen fascinated even the youngest. The cleaning robot was also very popular. Here, the children were able to assemble the cleaning robot set from Bastian Dolde, Dolde Engineering, with a cleaning brush and put a small DC motor on it. As soon as the batteries were inserted, the circuit closed and the brush started moving. All participants had a lot of fun discovering technology.
The Gerda Stetter Foundation “Technology is fun!” aims to motivate young people for technical projects and cross-disciplinary teamwork. Children should experience digitization live in order to be able to shape their own future sustainably.
