As ITQ family these days, it was important to us to make our contribution to refugee aid. The ITQ management has therefore decided to financially support 5 initiatives from Munich and the Munich area in caring for the Ukrainian refugees. In addition, ITQ doubled every Euro donated by the employees themselves. In total, more than 10,000 Euros were raised.
With a part of the donated money ITQ was able to buy 25 school backpacks including gym bags and writing materials. In cooperation with the Nachbarschaftshilfe Unterschleißheim e.V. and the local BRK the backpacks have been donated to refugee children from the Urkaine, as these kids get integrated into local schools soon.
The fundraising was so well received that the ITQ employees themselves also campaigned for another collection of donations. For more than a week, a meeting room in the Garching office was quickly turned into a collection point for important groceries, hygiene products and everyday items. At the beginning of May, the employees handed over the packed boxes to the private aid organization Civil Relief Munich. From there, the donations were brought directly to the Ukrainian borders in consultation with the local authorities.
