February 26, 2019 – Developing prototypes under Gran Canaria's sun

The 4th SMART GREEN ISLAND MAKEATHON was a great success for all 400 participants out of which were 270 students of 70 universities and from 21 different countries. During the four productive and fun days, the participants formed a total of 27 different teams and developed numerous innovative prototypes together.

The eight Industry Challenges, presented by the sponsors, once again were very well received this year and together with the other ideas were finally presented for the first time on the big stage on the last day. At the following get-together, the prototypes of the teams were exhibited and the success of the event was celebrated the Spanish way with wine and tapas.
